My daughter turned seven last weekend and I've been trying for a while to write a coherent, blog-appropriate entry about it. But every time I'm on the computer, I look at her photos, get all sentimental and end up checking out sappy music videos on Youtube showing the passing of time and kids growing up. Right now, I'm stuck on one soundtrack: Baby Mine (from Disney's "Dumbo").
I guess we parents are all the same - happy that our little ones are growing up to be so fully themselves, and yet sad to realize that time has flown. Alas, whoever said it, got it right: the days are long, the years are short!

Anyway, I hope you'll forgive me then if I take the easy way out and just share with you this collage I made of her party. We went with a circus theme and had corn dogs and popcorn and an appalling amount of sweets including cotton candy.I think my daughter and her friends had a great time, which really was all I wished for.

it must feel really sentimental to see your little one grow up, but i think you made her seventh such a blast. congrats! and sending li'l J. all the blessings in the world. xoxo
There is such love
in each and every
detail of your daughter's
party.....Looks like you
spent a LOT of time
making sure it was going
to be something she'd
always remember. My
kids certainly still remember
all their parties, especially
from about six on.
Thank you for stopping
by the water cooler and
sharing this wonderful moment.
And for calling me fabulous.
You get a HUG for that!!
